Underground Cables
Aladel Project
This project, signed in June 2015 with a contract value of 305.2 million SR, includes the construction of two 380kV UG cable circuits (8 km), three transition gantries, and deep/square tunnels with shafts, micro-tunnels, and a mechanical building.
Arafat Project
This project involves constructing two 380kV underground cable circuits—6.86 km (ARFTW–MHR) and 13.63 km (ARFTW–SAZ) with XLPE cables, fiber optics, DTS systems, and related civil works. It is being executed under Contract CN-4400019200 and is currently 63% complete.
KSP Project
The KSP Project includes two phases: Phase 1 covers the installation of two 132kV UG cable circuits (5 km) linking SS 8387 to SS 8164 & 8219. Phase 2 includes eight circuits (27 km) connecting multiple new substations within KSP, utilizing XLPE cables and fiber optics.
Masar Project
This project includes the complete design and installation of two 380kV underground cable circuits (8.23 km) between the KAR and MKW BSPs, featuring XLPE power cables, fiber-optic systems, DTS monitoring, and heat tracing integration.
Princess Noura project
The Princess Noura Project includes the design, supply, and installation of two 380kV underground cable circuits (13 km each) with all necessary accessories, linking BSP 9008 and BSP 9024 in Riyadh.
Andalusia Project
Dhahran Project
The project involves installing 115kV underground cables to connect the 380kV DHO BSP with three substations: DSHO SS#1A, SS#1B, and SS#2, under Contract No. 4400019298.
Tuwaiq project
The Tuwaiq Project connects the RIC 2 BSP substation to a new 115kV substation via 4.2 km of underground circuits, including complete upgrades to the protection, SCADA, and communication systems at both sites.
Substations
Statcom Madina Project
CEPCO signed a contract with SEC to supply and commission 2 x 20 MVAR STATCOM units across four substations—Khaybar (energized), Hanakiyah and Al Mowyah (in testing), and Al Ays (under construction)—offering fast, efficient voltage control and high dynamic response.
Statcom Taima Project
CEPCO proudly announces the first-ever energization of a STATCOM system in Saudi Arabia at Taima, featuring MPLS integration with the national grid. This boosts voltage stability and reactive power control, marking a major step in grid innovation.
Rabigh Project
The Rabigh Housing 110/13.8kV Substation project includes transformers, breakers, SIS system, auxiliary systems, full SAS, telecom, AMI, and all related civil, mechanical, and control systems, along with 110kV bay extensions at Rabigh City-2 Substation.
Overhead Lines
Abu Maan Project
The project scope includes access road and structure pad construction, soil investigation with thermal resistivity measurements, and tower foundation works.
Shubaiba Project
This project involves constructing 380kV underground cables and overhead lines to connect the Shuaiba PV Power Plant to the national grid, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 renewable energy objectives.
