Masar Project

This project includes the complete design and installation of two 380kV underground cable circuits (8.23 km) between the KAR and MKW BSPs, featuring XLPE power cables, fiber-optic systems, DTS monitoring, and heat tracing integration.

Construction of Two 380 kV Underground Circuits Between the Proposed KAR BSP and Existing MKW BSP

This project involves the complete design, supply, installation, and commissioning of two 380 kV underground cable circuits with a total route length of approximately 8.23 km, connecting the KAR BSP to the MKW BSP.

Key Components

  • 1x1C 2500 mm² super clean XLPE copper conductor cables per phase
  • Underground fiber optic communication circuits
  • Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) system
  • 1x4 core non-metallic fiber optic cables per phase for temperature monitoring
  • Heat tracing cables with all required accessories
  • Integration of the DTS system into the existing infrastructure at MKW BSP

The project is designed to ensure a continuous rating of not less than 1000 MVA for each circuit, enhancing transmission capacity and reliability between the KAR and MKW BSPs.
