HDD Technology

his division of our company provides innovative technology which is being used for the trenchless installation of pipes and cables. It is a gentle technology that uses a drilling suspension and reduces the difficulties of open cut trenching. The technology helps in minimizing the ripping up of streets and pavements. It reduces stress, less mass, less noise, and less traffic congestion.

THE PROCESS GENERALLY INCLUDES SEVEN DISTINCT PHASES:

  1. Planning and preliminary survey for the length.

  2. Check for other services underground (Telephone line, Water pipe, Sewage Pipes, Electricity line, etc.).

  3. Check the soil condition of the horizontal drilling (Rocky, Sandy, Mix, etc.).

  4. Select the drilling unit and tools to suit the soil kind.

  5. Drill a small pilot borehole to allow the drill to be steered and tracked from the surface.

  6. Enlarge the hole by pulling back increasingly large reamers.

  7. Pull in the pipe.

HDD METHODOLOGY

This installation technology uses an inclined drill to steer along the predetermined bore-path using an electronic tracker and tracking code.
HDD is a quick, precise, and cost-effective solution for pipeline installation like oil & gas pipelines, water lines, optical fiber cables, etc.
No need for open trench. Less material is required for backfill. Less restoration cost.

SCOPE & CAPACITY OF HDD

It will be handled by a technical team to execute projects from:

  • Small size crossing for cables, sheath water pipe, or gas pipeline

  • Up to the demand & crossing, the size expands to suit all

  • Maximum diameter of 1100 mm of steel pipe & 100 m or depth

  • Distance 800 m for single crossing

RAMMING SYSTEM:

Ramming system is used for digging to help install a steel sleeve & casing for utility works.
Used in short crossings like road and railway.
Great for narrow margin projects.
